We Have a Graduate!

Well, it’s official. We have a graduate!

Last Saturday, we did a quick up & back to Melun to celebrate with Dominic after 2 years of hard work in France’s Bible School program. Let me tell you more…

A 2-Year Diploma Program

France currently runs a 2-year Bible School program.

Students attend one full day of classes each month (these are long days!) and one intense week of classes each August. This organisation is due to the fact that most of the students are adults who are already out in the working world. The first priority… to train Christian workers in local churches, give them a solid foundation doctrinally and to build connections between future and current leadership, as well as to foster connections between the next generation of leaders in France.

Dominic began the program before getting married and was married roughly half-way through his first year. Whether during the lead-up to their wedding, or subsequent to it, Melanie has been a huge support to Dominic and joked that her name should be on the diploma as well.

Each Student was asked to provide 3 words which summarized their Bible School experience and Dominic chose:

Soutien, Persévérance, Vision
(Support, Perseverance, Vision) – These are so very appropriate if you know Dominic and how he has adapted to our situation here in France. He’s the bees’ knees!
