End of Summer…

End of Summer…

While the calendar may not yet officially herald the end of summer, we all know that Labor Day weekend in North America pretty much shuts it down as things ramp back up for fall.

While ‘Labor Day’ in France is in May, meaning that this is not a holiday weekend for us, still … the implications are the same. Summer is done like dinner!

His Kingdom Come… in France

His Kingdom Come… in France

“Kingdom Come” was the theme of the 2019 North American Youth Congress, held last week in St. Louis – the conference our kids attended with some 37,000 other young people. The theme is of course taken from the Lord’s prayer;

We’re crossing the ocean to attend my mom’s wedding. It’s been 8 years since my dad passed away and now she’s met someone who makes her feel like a kid again. I’ll share a pic or two after the wedding.

… for now, onto this week’s post.

5 Days with AYC – Day 5

5 Days with AYC – Day 5

After a long bus ride yesterday, today’s trip from Bourges to Paris would be a cinch in comparison!

Initially, the plan was that we’d leave the group in Bourges and head straight back to Châtellerault, given that they were in a straight line to Paris and that missionary Paul Brochu (overall coordinator for #AYCFrance19 on the French side) would be meeting them there.

In then end, however, we stayed with them for longer than planned… let me tell you about that…
