Since the clocks have moved back and as the longer nights of winter approach, dark drives through sleepy villages are more and more frequent.
As you can see from today’s feature picture however…. sleepy little French villages have just as much charm after dark.

Today’s little feature pic is perhaps one of the most beautiful fall photos I’ve taken in some time.
Perhaps my memory is just too short, or there are just too many pictures on my phone (entirely possible), but I just love it. The line of tall, straight trees on the left, leading the eye down the waterway, where the sky’s reflection balances the shadows, and juxtaposed with the old oak tree that’s leaning so precariously over the water – itself reflected almost perfectly…
It could be all that or it could also be the company I was keeping as I took in the view.

That’s right! … Liz. We have no idea who took the picture, but it showed up on the National Youth Commmittee’s Instagram account following the weekend’s youth convention, we loved it… & screenshotted it!
