Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!

It’s Saturday morning and as I sit down to write… the house is still quiet. Liz is up but still in “stealth mode” and the kids haven’t yet stirred. No telling when that will change. Pollux, surprisingly is not feverishly wagging his tail and staring deep into our eyes… his way of telling us “It’s time for a walk!”

If I can hear one thing… it’s via anticipation and it’s your voice… yes you.

“Has he fallen off his rocker!? It’s not thanksgiving… either in Canada OR the US!”

School Vacay & Light in the Sky!

School Vacay & Light in the Sky!

The kids made it through their first 6 weeks of school and have begun a 2-week break (the school year here is broken down into 6-week + 2-week cycles). Need I say how glad they are for the change of pace?

I dare say that Liz is glad for the break as well as she’ll be able to push ahead with some translation work that she’s needing to wrap up in the next couple of weeks.

For now though… let me give you a quick run-down of the past two weeks…

On the road….

Gonna be a short one today…

We’re beginning our busiest weekend in a long time and would appreciate your prayers.

  1. Last night we drove 3.5hrs up to Melun where Liz & I will teach at the Bible School today. (The kids are with us so we’re 5 in the hotel room)
  2. After Bible school we’re heading into Paris to visit someone in hospital. A young mother whose 5 year-old son has eye cancer.
  3. Following that visit we drive to the eastern city of Troyes where we’ll be ministering in service tomorrow. (For a total of another 4hrs of driving today)
  4. After church, we’ll drive back to Châtellerault (roughly 4-5hrs).

That’s a lot of driving before starting the school week back up on Monday!

Thank you Lord for opportunities to be useful to others in different parts of France!

I’ll tell you all about this weekend, next weekend.

God bless you today and thank you for your prayers.

(ps. If you’re wondering about the photo… putting a chair in the bathroom was the only way to some early morning reading without waking the kids! …. oh the things we do! 😂)

Fear Not

Fear Not

I love it when you read something that kind of stops you dead in your tracks. It happens a lot. How often do you see a meme or a quote come across your Instagram or Facebook feeds and you have that impression.

As far as social media goes, it happens to me more via Instagram than Facebook. I’m present on FB but it’s not my go-to… Today though, I was stopped up from someplace else, but first… let me recap the week, which had some pretty cool moments.
