30 Days of Gratitude… 3

30 Days of Gratitude… 3

Temperatures today have meant that once again, as yesterday, it’s more pleasant to be outside, than it is to be inside.

I’m back in the out of doors, listening to an orchestra of birds serenade the neighbourhood. Among them… I just now heard the cuckoo. He’s off in the distance, not close at all… but I hear him.

Before I get to today’s source of gratitude, let me show you the picture I took last night, of the setting sun lighting up the clouds…

Dinner Date

Today, Liz & I went out for dinner … the first time for the two of us in far too long. We tried to figure it out and as near as we can tell, although we’ve been out with others to the restaurant, it had likely been since our 2020 anniversary trip to Saumur region that we hadn’t been out just the two of us.

It’s not that we haven’t been out at all… typically, when we go out, we’ll go to a nice little tea room in town (Citron et Cerise) for coffee & dessert. That we’ve done a number of times. But to just go out to a restaurant, for no specific reason and just the two of us…. far. too. long.

How does that even happen?

So… today I’m grateful for a couple of hours out, just the two of us, to talk about things other than the kids or church.

Thank you Lord for a great day!
