The Eiffel Tower, Paris
There are places in France where the setting is very conducive to feeling a sense of peace and while there may be quiet corners of Paris that afford you that, it is generally not the case.
Paris is busy, it is noisy and there are often things – or people – coming at you from all directions. If you are going to feel any sense of peace, you’ve got to get out of the flow of people, bikes or cars.
Can you feel it?
You can breathe again.
Life is like that as well. We can be stressed about a gazillion things (like that word? … it’s the first time I’ve used it on this blog) but if we’re going to be able to catch our breath for a moment, we’ve got to step away from the flow.
If your spirit is stressed about a situation, a circumstance or a relationship, and you’re not even sure whether or not God knows your number, you’ve got to do just what the verse says…
Get out of the flow.
Leave the gazillion things behind and remember that He is God and you are not.
He can help resolve… but you’ve got to relinquish control and surrender to him.
Be still today!
