It’s Valentine’s Day (at time of writing) and the day was filled with a number of good things.

I don’t normally teach on Thursdays this semester, but exceptionally, today I did. On one hand, kind of a bummer to teach on Valentine’s Day, but hey… no biggie. Liz decided to accompany me for the day. Even just to have her with me for the drive was a lovely change, but that wasn’t all…
After I was done teaching, we headed downtown on a date. Those don’t happen often for us, so any time it happens, it’s a treat. We went to T’ Thé ou Café, a sweet spot that combines great coffee & sweets with “curl-up cushions” on window sills and swings hanging from the ceiling. Great company, great venue!
Tonight was beekeepers association. Typically, they meet 1x / month or so, but moving into the Spring (a busy beekeeping season) it’s a bit more frequent. I love it. Since I’m no longer in the beginner group, there’s a bit more discussion, because everyone has a bit of experience. I learn a lot and am getting to meet & know more locals in a very organic way.
