Keepin’ it short & sweet today.
Here are…
Today’s #3GoodThings
- First thing’s first… today I finished reading the book that began this #3GoodThings journey: The Happiness Advantage, by Shawn Achor. It’s honestly been a while since I finished a book. I have a few on the go at any given time, but having mom here over the holidays and then getting back to work has made it a challenge. Glad to have finished this one… now, to let it percolate! 🙂
- The weather has continued to be extraordinary (we’ve been above seasonal temps over the past couple of weeks) so I spent some time working outside today. Getting a few things repotted, replanted, moved, etc. Any day I get to plunge my hands in potting soil is a good day!
- Tonight we spent time as a family reading & discussing Psalm 139. Verse 16 reminds me that before we were fully formed, in our mother’s womb, the Lord saw us as already complete – “our members were written”, before they had fully formed. That speaks powerfully to the sanctity of life and, on a less tangible note, how that, when I grow frustrated by a project / situation that is “not yet fully formed / finished”… the Lord already does. I need to hitch my wagon to his train to get through any rough spot that comes my way.
