The week is already half gone and while I didn’t have to drive to Angers this week (February vacation), I do still have to head down to Poitiers tomorrow (their break is next week). For this reason, I’m slowly swinging out of mini-vacation mode and thinking about what I’ll teach tomorrow.
First though, let me tell you about…
- I felt productive about another couple of things in addition to preparing to teach tomorrow. I got Pollux’ fir trimmed (I do it myself because I abhor the thought of paying 40€ ($60 CDN) and I also gave Timo’s hair a trim. Neither Liz or I thought it needed to be cut… but apparently it did! 🙂 Seriously, I’m glad that the boys are both content to have me cut their hair. It saves expenses and shows trust on their behalf. Besides… it’s possible to have some great discussions over a haircut.
- I took a peek in on the bees today and they appear to be in great shape. Lots of young bees were orienting themselves & getting their bearings. Lots of older ones were bringing in loads of pollen (a good sign as they use it for raising young bees). This is all quite reassuring.
- I got to do a little bit of bushwhacking down at the church property. Even though it was just for a little more than an hour and I was by myself, it feels good to make progress on keeping the church yard looking attractive & therefore making the Lord’s house a welcoming spot.
