As I sit to write, the rain is tapping lightly on the skylight over my head. It’s a nice light rain, but one which do the gardens good as things have been beautiful of late… but dry. A true Indian Summer as we used to say back home.

Today we shift gears a bit & begin to think about the new week, but not before having church… at home.

For me, the day started out teaching Bible School via Zoom.
For Liz, the day started out finishing up last night’s work… food prep.
For Soph & Dominic, it began slow.
For Timo, even slower.

He was awakened by a phone call from a friend…

Today it’s not about Revenue Canada or the lockdown, per sé. It’s about paying tribute to fewer & fewer individuals, and more & more memories of individuals…

Today is Remembrance Day…

I’m beginning this post as I’m on hold with the Canada Revenue Agency (Canada’s IRS). I was on hold for 15minutes, summarized my inquiry to an agent, then was on hold for another 15 minutes while they researched my history. That’s when the call dropped.

I’m on hold again and the estimated wait time is 30-40minutes. Seriously #RevenueCanada!? 😦

Let talk about something more upbeat… like lockdown in France – LOL!

Mondays are typically my longest teaching days.

2 hours of driving,
3 contact hours with students,
1 hour of lunch,
3 more teaching hours,
2 hours driving home.

Today, thanks to confinement, they day looked very different…

Think about it… did you ever really think that we’d come to a time where ‘attending‘ church online would be not just a question of convenience… but rather of necessity?

Well… here we are!

As the world continues to, to varying degrees, hold its collective breath, awaiting some kind of resolution to the drawn out election process in the USA, the sun rises on another Saturday morning in France.

I didn’t do a post yesterday and in previous ‘daily series’ runs, I’ve tried silly to ensure there was one every day. Yesterday came & went and no post. I’m not going to stress about … Not sure about you, but I’m quite convinced that, in some areas, I have higher expectations of myself and extend lesser grace than is really healthy.
