Our 2020 Christmas

Christmas more or less snuck up on us this year.

Besides the fact that we’re not getting any younger, I really chalk it up to the fact that Covid19 made it such that the school year was pushed back, beginning in September, meaning that classes (and the related marking, evaluations & such) were also pushed back. So it seems like we were all working right up to the Friday before Christmas.

Bringin’ Home the Hardware

If you didn’t see my last post you may not have been aware that Dominic qualified, in the quarter final quizzing tournament (that took place via ZOOM), to go on to the national finals. So… last weekend, we changed things up and left Châtellerault for a couple of days. It was really, really nice. As we were driving up to Melun (greater Paris region) it occurred to me that it had been a full 6 months since I’d driven that route.

Youth Convention

When your week-to-week experience is in a home-missions-type setting, and your’re two to three hours away from your nearest sister-churches, you tend to appreciate this verse from the psalms in a whole new way. It was good to be in Melun last week at the annual youth convention.
