Although three round trips to Melun, in 10 days, was pretty tiring, there was a refreshing in our Spirit that made last weekend’s trip absolutely worth it. It was the French national youth convention (which doubles as the European youth convention) and it was absolutely incredible. I can’t wait to tell you about it.
This week, the kids and I spent a couple of hours out ‘n’ about in Châtellerault filming bits & bobs for a missions-focused video for kids. Today, I’m going to tell you about it and show you some bloopers.
So I have a confession to make. Most of the time, I try to write posts on Friday night and schedule them for Saturday morning. This week however, it truly is a “Saturday morning over hot chocolate” kind of morning. The house is quiet and began with just me, Pollux (our dog) and a cuppa hot chocolate. Not a bad way to start the day.
Today’s feature image shows a rather curious structure. It is more reminiscent of a Native American dwelling than something you’d find at a French high school… but it’s an important spot. Let me tell you why…

Seems to me I said it two years ago, but I’ll say it again. The national holiday – even in a small town – is pretty special here. Fireworks set to music with a 400 year old bridge and her two towers as a backdrop and we got to be within only a couple hundred feet.

On Thursday, our firstborn turned 17 and we celebrated another year of God’s faithfulness in her life, and another year of blessing in ours.
