One of the things that’s always part of IBF, in the week-long summer block week, is that students lead the mid-week service at the church in Melun. They are involved in all aspects of the service from leading worship to prayer and announcements to preaching. This young lady was one of the two students that preached in this week’s service.

Although the days are getting longer, it’s still pretty dark first thing in the morning, but somehow that adds to the charm of walking through these pretty little streets of the city that we call –(at least for now)– “home”.

It’s an “Over and Above Blessing” weekend for me so, with the exception of church tomorrow, I’ll be enjoying the disconnect of being on a little French Hobby Farm.

On the Road again… Bible School

OK, let’s be clear… today’s feature image is not a picture of me on the road again (I’m for sure not zipping around France in a vintage, red convertible) but it is something I saw while on my way.

Stretches like this, national roads lined with Plane Trees or Sycamores, are a pretty common sight and a welcome break from the frantic pace of the highways, which are extra busy with vacation travel. I came through this stretch yesterday, on my way home from Bible School which took up the bulk of my week, but first let me tell you about an unexpected treat.
