One Birthday and a Wedding
Today, our second child and first son, Dominic turns 15. His name means “Belonging to God” and to watch him pray at the altar with others and respond in worship encourages us that he is living up to his name. May he daily discover and rediscover the love of a Father that is much greater than that of his earthly father and may that carry him throughout his entire life.

How to Pray for your Upcoming Missions Trip?
You are well on your way to taking part in your upcoming Short-Term Missions trip.

One of the next things you need to focus on is preparing yourself spiritually for your time away. You can begin, now, to build habits that no one will see but which could have a huge impact on you when you arrive on location.
The Good, the Bad & the Ugly
This week we’ve had sun and temps in the high teens, but then on the 3.5hr drive up to Melun last night, there were times when the normally 130km/hr speed limit was reduced to 60km/hr for driving rain and even hail. Just like the weather, we’ve seen a little bit of everything in the spiritual realm this past week as well.

I wish I could say that we were spending Liz’s birthday in Paris, but alas no… we’re far from being well dressed and enjoying a dinner cruise on the Seine as we were when this photo was taken a few years ago. I’m in dirty, smelly clothes & surrounded by some 30 animals while she is in town with the kids… at least for this morning.
Peeling back layers & the Big Chill
I realized that I did something last week that I’d not done a terribly great deal up to this point… I peeled back the layers a bit.
Trying to think outside the box
Well… I made my first visit to the Police station. …nothing major and they let me out after only 30 minutes later so all’s good! 🙂
