Short-Term missions does a lot of things well, but one thing it does especially well is allow you to form faith-centered, faith-building friendships, many of which will last a life time.

Welcome to day three of my 30Days-30Pics: Defining Short-Term Missions.
I thought that since days one and two had to do with vision (how friends see you & how you see yourself)… I’d stick with that theme, but today is not about you, it’s about how you see the present and the future.
A can of Canada Dry, served in a white paper cup, proudly emblazoned with a red maple leaf… Hello Air Canada, thanks for bringing us “home”. It sounds weird to say that because “HOME-home” is Canada, but “small-h home” is France. At least for now.
OK y’all… it’s already past 1:30 Saturday morning (Indiana time) and I’m gonna get through today’s post then get myself to bed!

One of the next things you need to focus on is preparing yourself spiritually for your time away. You can begin, now, to build habits that no one will see but which could have a huge impact on you when you arrive on location.
This small coffee may not look like much, but it represents a quick & quiet moment of celebration after an administrative marathon for Liz…
Last Sunday morning I hopped on an Air Canada Express jet to start the trip back to France after three great weeks back home. When I think of those three weeks, I am thankful for I experienced the hand, and faithfulness, of God once again. Isn’t that what having a living, current relationship with God all about… experiencing him afresh on a regular basis?! Continue reading
