I had a little bit of ‘Bee therapy’ yesterday.

One lesson learned during confinement #1 was the importance of small pleasures. Had it not been born out of necessity, it might be considered virtuous, but alas we were obliged to find pleasure in the little; we couldn’t get out to procure the ‘big’.

Thirty minutes of bees was a nice reset yesterday…

In some ways, France is about to breathe a little bit easier tomorrow… Lockdown restrictions will be ‘loosened’. So I’m curious to see if things get haywire or not…

I’ve found that one of the things about having hit 50 is that certain types of physical activity comes with a near-guaranteed, acute, side effect: 1-3 days of soreness!

BUT… indirectly, it was for a wonderful reason…

Let’s go from yesterday’s green (grass) to today’s black (with a silver lining)…

Have you ever heard of Cavolo Nero? …it’s Italian:
Cavolo = Cabbage
Nero = black

So, Cavolo Nero is black cabbage, sort of…

Can you tell that the teaching week is well & truly under way? It’s been a busy few days (they weren’t all like Monday, but each day had its own share).

Today’s after class therapy; mowing the lawn….

As I sit to write, the rain is tapping lightly on the skylight over my head. It’s a nice light rain, but one which do the gardens good as things have been beautiful of late… but dry. A true Indian Summer as we used to say back home.

Today we shift gears a bit & begin to think about the new week, but not before having church… at home.

For me, the day started out teaching Bible School via Zoom.
For Liz, the day started out finishing up last night’s work… food prep.
For Soph & Dominic, it began slow.
For Timo, even slower.

He was awakened by a phone call from a friend…
